The following streets in Manhattan will be closed on Sunday:

6th Avenue between 51st Street and 55th Street and 51st Street between Madison Avenue and 6th Avenue will be closed from 7:30 am to 9:15 am for the NYC Fire Department Holy Name Society Parade:

The following streets will be closed from 2 pm to 5 pm for the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York Parade:
* 5th Avenue between 63rd Street and 79th Street
* 63rd Street to 66th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue
* 79th Street between 5th Avenue and 3rd Avenue
* Central Park South between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue

Broadway between 34th Street and 35th Street (Pedestrian Plaza) and 34th Street and 35th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue (curb lanes only) will be closed from 9 am to midnight for the 40th Annual Macy’s Flower Show:

One lane will be closed in either direction, northbound or southbound, on the FDR Drive at East 51st Street and at East 78th Street from 1 am to 11 am on Sunday for bridge inspection.

One of four lanes of the Williamsburg Bridge eastbound to Brooklyn will be closed on Saturday from 6 am to 2 pm to facilitate NYCDOT bridge maintenance.

One lane in each direction on the Greenpoint Avenue Bridge over Newtown Creek is maintained Saturdays from 7 am to 1 pm to facilitate NYCDOT bridge repairs.

One of two lanes on the Union Street Bridge over the Gowanus Canal will be closed northbound on Sunday from 7 am to 1 pm to facilitate NYCDOT bridge maintenance.

One lane on the Queens Plaza south main roadway and one lane on the service roadway from Crescent Street to 28th Street will be closed from 2 am to 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday to facilitate NYC Transit overhead track replacement work.

The following streets in Manhattan will be closed on Sunday from 7:30 am to 9:15 am for the NYPD Holy Name Society Parade:
* 5th Avenue between 47th Street and 55th Street
* 6th Avenue between 47th Street and 53rd Street
* 55th Street between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue
* 47th Street between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue

Marine Avenue between 4th Avenue and 3rd Avenue and 3rd Avenue between Marine Avenue and 67th Street in Brooklyn will be closed on Sunday from 1 pm to 3:30 pm for the Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The following streets in Queens will be closed on Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm for the Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation 5K Walk:
* 126th Street between 34th Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue
* Roosevelt Avenue between 126th Street and Shea Road
* Shea Road between Roosevelt Avenue and 126th Street

Broadway between 34th Street and 35th Street (Pedestrian Plaza) and 34th Street and 35th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue (curb lanes only) will be closed on Sunday from 9 am to midnight for the 40th Annual Macy’s Flower Show.

Weekend Bridge and Street Closures – August 3-4

The following streets in Manhattan will be closed on Saturday from 7 am to 1 pm for DOT Summer Streets:
* Centre Street between Brooklyn Bridge exit and Reade Street/Lafayette Street
* Lafayette Street between Reade Street/Centre Street and Fourth Avenue
* Fourth Avenue between Lafayette Street and 15th Street
* Union Square East between 15th Street and 17th Street
* Park Avenue South between 17th Street and 32nd Street
* Park Avenue between 32nd Street and 72nd Street (Including the viaduct between 40th Street and 46th Street)
* 72nd Street between Park Avenue and 5th Avenue
These closures for Summer Streets will also take place on Saturday, August 10 and Saturday, August 17. More details on Summer Streets activities are available at www.nyc.gov/summerstreets.

The Park Avenue Underpass between 33rd Street and 40th Street will be closed from 10 pm Friday to 5 pm Saturday to facilitate the Summer Streets event and NYCDOT maintenance.

The Brooklyn Bridge will be closed to Manhattan-bound traffic from 12:01 am on Sunday to 5 am on Monday for rehabilitation work. Motorists proceeding inbound/northbound from south Brooklyn via the Belt Parkway and Gowanus Expressway should use the toll facility Hugh L. Carey (formerly Brooklyn Battery) Tunnel as the best route into lower Manhattan. Motorists from Queens/Long Island should consider the Williamsburg Bridge, or the toll facilities at the RFK Bridge or Queens Midtown Tunnel. Throughout this closure the Manhattan Bridge will accommodate 5 lanes of traffic inbound/westbound and two lanes outbound/eastbound.

Brooklyn-bound traffic will access the Brooklyn Bridge from Pearl Street or Centre Street, using a contraflow configuration. This weekend only, there will be additional access to the bridge via the Park Row ramp from Frankfort Street. This alternative access will be available only on Sunday from 9 am to 11 pm.

Traffic Alert: Times Square New Year’s Eve Street Closures

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, the following streets will be closed to all vehicular traffic: 7th Avenue from 41st to 59th Streets; Broadway from 47th to 59th Streets; 43rd to 47th Streets from 6th to 8th Avenue.

42nd Street from 6th to 8th Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday.

After 6:30 p.m. on Monday, traffic closures will be instituted as crowd conditions warrant on the following streets: all cross-town streets from 37th to 41st Streets from 6th to 8th Avenues; all cross-town streets from 49th to 59th Streets from 6th to 8th Avenues; 48th Street from 5th to 9th Avenues;

Cross-town access for emergency vehicles will be available on 42nd, 48th, and 59th Streets.

There will be No Parking in the following areas from Monday at 12:01 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday:
All cross-town streets from 33rd to 59th Street between 6th and 8th Avenue;
West side of 5th Avenue, from 37th to 52nd Streets;
West side of 6th Avenue, from 34th to 59th Streets;
East side of 6th Avenue, from 37th to 52nd Streets;
East side of 8th Avenue from 34th to 57th Streets;
48th Street between 5th and Ninth Avenues;
43rd Street between 5th and 8th Avenue;
42nd Street between 5th and 9th Avenue;
37th Street between 5th and 8th Avenue
34th Street between 5th and 9th Avenue;
48th Street between 5th and 9th Avenue;
52nd Street between 5th and 8th Avenue;
58th Street between 6th and 8th Avenue;
59th Street between 5th Avenue and Columbus Circle.

People are strongly advised to use public transportation. On-street parking will be extremely limited in the Midtown area. People should avoid all cross-town streets from 34th to 59th Streets, as well as 6th to 8th Avenues.
