The Brooklyn Bridge will be closed to inbound (Manhattan–bound) traffic from 12:01 am Saturday to 6 am Monday. Motorists proceeding inbound from south Brooklyn via the Belt Parkway and Gowanus Expressway should use 3rd Avenue/Hamilton Avenue into the toll facility Hugh L. Carey (Brooklyn Battery) Tunnel as the best route into lower Manhattan. Motorists from Queens/Long Island should consider the Williamsburg Bridge or the toll facilities RFK Bridge or Queens Midtown Tunnel. Throughout this closure the Manhattan Bridge will accommodate 5 lanes of traffic inbound and two lanes outbound.
The FDR Drive northbound exit to East Houston Street will be closed from 10 am to 10 pm Saturday and Sunday in conjunction with the Brooklyn Bridge detours. Motorists should use the East 20th-23rd Street exit and follow the posted detour.
One of two eastbound (Queens-bound) lanes on the south upper roadway of the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge may be closed from 6 am to 2 pm Saturday and/or Sunday through June to facilitate overhead lighting work.
The Grand Street Bridge over Newtown Creek will be closed on Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm to perform maintenance and structural repairs. Vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the Metropolitan Avenue Bridge.
The south tube of the Battery Park Underpass between Route 9A/West Street and the FDR Drive and one of two lanes in the north tube will be closed from 1 am to 8 am Saturday to facilitate NY State DOT construction activity. These closures will continue until approximately July.
The 6th Avenue entrance ramp to the northbound/inbound Gowanus Expressway will be closed from 11 am Friday to 5 am Monday to facilitate NY State DOT roadway work. Motorists should use 4th Avenue or 3rd Avenue/Hamilton Avenue as detour route. This weekend closure is scheduled to continue through June 16th.
The following streets in Manhattan will be closed on Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm for the Tribeca Film Festival:
* Greenwich Street between Chambers Street and Hubert Street
* Beach Street between Greenwich Street and Hudson Street
* North Moore Street between West Street and Hudson Street
* Franklin Street between Greenwich Street and the Hudson River
* Harrison Street between West Street and Hudson Street
* Jay Street between Greenwich Street and Hudson Street
* Duane Street between Greenwich Street and Hudson Street
* Reade Street between Greenwich Street and the Hudson River
8th Avenue between 14th Street and 23rd Street in Manhattan will be closed on Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm for the Chelsea Visiting Neighbors 8th Avenue Festival.
